SA国际传媒 will hold its annual Epiphany Celebration on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. in The Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus. Participating in the celebration will be several vocal and instrumental groups from the SA国际传媒 community, including the SA国际传媒 Chorus, Pro Musica Sacra, Laudamus, Brass Choir and String Ensemble. The celebration will include an extended choral prelude of Christmas and Epiphany themes and a service of evening prayer.
Rev. Henry Gerike, director of choirs at SA国际传媒, will direct his new Christmas carol, 鈥淭he Hills Are Bare at Bethlehem,鈥� which will premiere at the celebration. Hymns and psalm settings involving the congregation will accompany the carol throughout the service.
Special recognition will be given to pastors and church musicians of St. Louis area Lutheran churches. SA国际传媒 desires to express its appreciation for their work of proclaiming God鈥檚 Word and leading God鈥檚 people in worship and song.
A special reception following the concert will feature the Seminary Chorus鈥� new CD, 鈥淕entle Stranger.鈥� The CD, featuring Laudamus of the SA国际传媒 Chorus, includes 鈥淔rom Heaven Above鈥� by Heinrich Spitta, 鈥淓piphany Gospel鈥� by Johannes Petzold and 鈥淕entle Stranger鈥� by Henry Gerike.
