鈥淓quipped to Care: A Workshop on Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependency,鈥� sponsored by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Lutheran Ministries Association, Partners in Urban Ministry and SA国际传媒, St. Louis, will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 22-23, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Loeber Hall on the campus of SA国际传媒.
This fast-paced, interactive two-day training program will be led by Dr. Marilyn Bader, prevention coordinator at the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse鈥擬issouri Division (NCADA), and Mrs. N. J. Sterneck, prevention specialist at NCADA. The impact of substance abuse does not stop with the addicted person. Addiction affects families, schools, and even churches. The training will provide valuable resource, service and program information. It will help participants develop the skills needed to effectively respond and minister to people struggling with addiction and their families, including recognizing the warning signs.
The workshop registration fee is $40. Lunch is provided. CEU fee is an additional $10. The workshop is limited to 30 participants. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
