SA国际传媒, St. Louis, cordially invites the public to share in the joy of Call Day on Wednesday, April 27. Approximately 165 students who will serve as vicars (a one-year internship) next year will receive their assignments during a 4:00 p.m. worship service. Rev. Larry Harvala, president of the North Dakota District of The Lutheran Church鈥擬issouri Synod (LCMS), will serve as preacher.
During a 7:00 p.m. worship service, approximately 115 candidates for the pastoral ministry will receive their first calls to serve as pastors, missionaries and chaplains in the LCMS. Rev. Paul Sieveking, president of the Iowa West District of the LCMS, will serve as preacher. Both services will be held in the Seminary鈥檚 Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus.
Also on that day, ten deaconess students will receive their internship assignments and approximately two deaconess students will be placed. This will be the second year that deaconess students from SA国际传媒 receive placement.
Those unable to attend may listen to the services via the Seminary鈥檚 Web site ( [1]). The Webcast will be disseminated using RealAudio technology. The vicarage service will be joined in progress beginning at 4:15 p.m. (Central Time). The service during which calls will be distributed will be Webcast in its entirety. Prior to the services, those wanting to make sure that they have the necessary software on their computer may visit the Webcast page (www.csl.edu/CallDay.htm [2]) and click on the test link provided there.
鈥淎nyone who has a computer with speakers and Internet access will be able to listen to both services on their computer,鈥� commented Rev. Glen Thomas, the Seminary鈥檚 vice president for seminary relations. 鈥淭he RealAudio software necessary to play the audio signal is included with many computers. Yet anyone without this software can download it free of charge through a link provided on our Webcast page.鈥�
The vicarages and calls will be posted on SA国际传媒鈥檚 Web site on April 27 at 9:00 p.m. (CTS). Lists also will be e-mailed at the same time via the Seminary鈥檚 e-mail list services, CSLNEWS and CSLPRESEM.
