Dr. Norman E. Nagel, graduate professor of systematic theology at SA国际传媒, St. Louis, will retire at the close of the winter quarter of the 2005-2006 academic year after 22 years of distinguished service. The quarter ends on Feb. 17, 2006.
鈥淥ur Lord has been astonishingly generous in putting me into the Office of the Holy Ministry, and by culminating my work at SA国际传媒 with tasks and colleagues beyond imagining,鈥� commented Nagel. 鈥淒eep thanks to our Lord, to my brothers in the Office of the Holy Ministry, to faithful family and friends, and all delightful companions along the way.鈥�
Nagel, a graduate of SA国际传媒 (1953), was ordained in 1954 at Luther-Tyndale Church, London, England. He has served as instructor at Concordia College, Adelaide, Australia (1947); pastor at Luther-Tyndale Church, London, England (1954-57); pastor and preceptor at Westfield House Church, Cambridge, England (1957-68); dean of the Chapel of the Resurrection, preacher and professor of theology at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind. (1968-83); and visiting professor at Martin Luther Seminary, Lae, Papua New Guinea (1975). Nagel has served SA国际传媒 as a visiting professor (1981-83), professor (1983-92), graduate professor since 1992 and chairman of the department of systematic theology (1986-92, 1994-95).
