SA国际传媒, St. Louis, is pleased to announce that audio and video files of the Fifth Annual Day of Homiletical Reflection, which took place on May 2, are available free of charge on 鈥淪A国际传媒 on iTunes U鈥� at [1]. Five audio files, featuring all presentations and sectionals, and an interview of the featured presenter, are available for download. Four video files also are available.
This year鈥檚 Day of Homiletical Reflection featured Dr. Leonard Sweet, E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Drew Theological School, Madison, N.J., and Visiting Distinguished Professor at George Fox University, Portland, Ore., who delivered two presentations, 鈥淐an the Church Survive the Perfect Storm?鈥� and 鈥淧reaching as an EPIC Event.鈥� An interview of Sweet by Dr. Dale Meyer, president and professor of practical theology at SA国际传媒, concluded the program.
Other sectional presentations included 鈥淩esurrection Realities: Sermon Series on 1 Peter鈥� by Dr. R. Reed Lessing, associate professor of exegetical theology at SA国际传媒; and 鈥淚 See What You are Saying: The Use of Visuals in Preaching鈥� by Rev. Tony Cook, director of educational technology at SA国际传媒.
The Day of Homiletical Reflection is designed for pastors, students involved in homiletical education and others interested in the proclamation of the Gospel in today鈥檚 world. It combines the annual Wenchel Lecture, which promotes critical thought about preaching and practical enhancement in this art, with the Ernie and Elsie Schneider Endowment for Excellence in Preaching, which fosters support for innovative 21st-century proclamation.
