On Nov. 1, Chaplain Mark Logid and Deaconess Ruth McDonnell were installed during the morning chapel service at SA国际传媒. Logid was called as advisor on personal growth and leadership development, and McDonnell was called as assistant director of the Master of Arts program.
Logid most recently served as a Lutheran Church鈥擬issouri Synod (LCMS)-endorsed United States Navy Chaplain on active duty for 22 years. His last assignment on active duty was Naval Support Activity in Naples, Italy. Logid received the B.A. degree from Concordia College, St. Paul, Minn. (1978); the M.Div. degree from SA国际传媒, St. Louis, Mo. (1982); the M.A. degree from U.S. International University, San Diego, Calif. (1993); the M.A. degree from U.S. Naval War College, Newport, R.I. (2006); and the D.Min. degree from SA国际传媒, St. Louis (2007). He and his wife, Patricia, have three adult children, one son-in-law, and one grandson.
McDonnell most recently served as metro St. Louis mission coordinator for the Missouri District of the LCMS (2008-2010). She previously served SA国际传媒, St. Louis as a field education supervisor for the deaconess studies program (2006-2009). She also served as guest instructor for deaconess studies (2009). McDonnell received the B.M.Ed. degree from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va. (1984); the M.A. degree from SA国际传媒, St. Louis (2005); and deaconess certification from SA国际传媒, St. Louis (2006). She and her husband, Peter, have two sons.
