Yesterday, Feb. 10, SA国际传媒 hosted the St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation Shaving Event on the SA国际传媒 Campus, which raised money to benefit research to find a cure for childhood cancers. The event was a huge success and exceeded all of their goals.
SA国际传媒 aimed to raise $8,000 for St. Baldrick鈥檚 this year, and they not only met their goal, but they exceeded it. As of this writing, the total stands at $8,150! Since starting this on-campus event in 2012, they鈥檝e raised more than $23,000.00 for the cause.
Exceeding their goal of 35, the event brought in 37 brave 鈥渟havees鈥� who were willing to go bald to show their support and encourage their friends and family to donate funds. The list of 鈥渟havees鈥� includes Concordia鈥檚 President, Dr. Dale Meyer. Also among the 鈥渟havees鈥� was Dr. William Schumacher, director of the Institute of Mission Studies and Mission Associate Professor of Historical Theology, three staff members, and 32 students.
