SA国际传媒 Unveils Giant Cake on Campus

Seminary President, Dr. Dale A. Meyer, unveiled a giant birthday cake on campus Friday, March 28, as part of 鈥淐akeway to the West,鈥 a citywide art exhibit produced by local nonprofit stl250 celebrating the 250th birthday of the city of St. Louis. The custom painted, four-foot-tall, two-tiered fiberglass cake sculpture was placed in Chapel Plaza and illustrates the history and doctrine of SA国际传媒 and The Lutheran Church鈥揗issouri Synod.

The public is encouraged to 鈥渃heck in鈥 and take photos of the cake sculptures as part of a citywide scavenger hunt using a free app available at [1].

Janice Schoultz Mudd, a local mixed media painter and collage artist (and wife to Concordia鈥檚 own Director of Facilities Planning, Stephen Mudd), decorated SA国际传媒鈥檚 cake, which will remain on campus until the end of 2014.

250 sites around the region were selected by stl250 as cake locations due to their historical relevance. SA国际传媒 was honored to be included as it celebrates its milestone 175th anniversary this coming academic year.

More than 100 students, families, faculty, staff, and community members attended the unveiling and the cake and coffee reception that followed in Koburg Hall.
