With great jubilation, 141 SA国际传媒, St. Louis [1] students took part in Call Day today, learning for the first time their assignment of first calls to ministry, vicarage placements, and deaconess internship positions.
Sixty-four students received their first calls to serve as pastors, chaplains, and missionaries for [2]颅 (LCMS)at a 7 p.m. (CDT) worship service held at the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus. Four have calls or placements pending. Two deaconesses also received calls.
Sixty-three students who will serve as vicars and four deaconess interns received their assignments at a 3 p.m. (CDT) worship service also at SA国际传媒鈥檚 Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus. There are two vicarage and two deaconess assignments still pending.
鈥淎s these students walk out of chapel on Call Day, they are walking out into the world to experience sin and grace in the depth of their souls,鈥 said Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president of SA国际传媒. 鈥淚n that experience they are reminded that faith has no other resort than Jesus Christ. May these new pastors keep walking鈥攚alking in their communities, walking among their people鈥攕o that when Sunday comes more and more people will say, 鈥業 was glad when they said to me, 鈥淟et us go to the house of the Lord!鈥濃 (Psalm 122:1).鈥
