Participating in the American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb-St. Louis at the Metropolitan Square office building in downtown St. Louis March 30, 2019, SA国际传媒, St. Louis’ climb team raised $3,524. Twenty-five SA国际传媒 faculty, staff, students and friends tackled the 40-floor, 856-stair challenge, placing eighth among companies and 10th among all teams for the amount raised. With more than 130 teams and 1,100 climbers participating in the event, the St. Louis American Lung Association Stair Climb raised more than $335,000 this year, 104% of its goal, and has raised more than $3 million since it started in 2007.
“We were thrilled to participate in the Fight for Air Climb again this year. It’s a fun way to contribute to a worthy cause and get some exercise at the same time,” said team captain Dr. Richard Marrs, associate professor of Practical Theology and director of the Master of Divinity and Residential Alternate Route programs. “The American Lung Association works to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, education and advocacy. Since lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States, supporting this organization’s efforts is important.”
Participating annually in the event since 2012, SA国际传媒 has raised more than $12,000 for the American Lung Association thanks to the participants and their supporters.
