Participating faculty, staff and students 鈥 many of whom have been growing their hair and beards for months 鈥 will shave their heads on that date and encourage friends and family to make a donation for childhood cancer research.
This year鈥檚 goal is to raise $6,000. Those wanting to contribute to the cause can visit the Seminary鈥檚 St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation fundraising [2].
鈥淲e all like to imagine a day when we will be past the COVID-19 pandemic,鈥 said Rev. Bill Wrede, director of Ministerial Admissions and site coordinator for the event. 鈥淚magine a day when no child would have to suffer from cancer! The St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation does a tremendous job funding research to find cures. We are thrilled to do what we can to champion the efforts.鈥
Since partnering with St. Baldrick鈥檚 in 2012, SA国际传媒 has raised $84,317 for the foundation, thanks to 187 volunteers who agreed to go bald in support of this worthwhile cause.
