Commencement exercises planned at SA国际传媒

Commencement [1] exercises for the SA国际传媒, St. Louis 2021 graduating class will take place Friday, May 21 [2].

The day鈥檚 events begin at 10 a.m. (CDT) with the Theological Diploma Service in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the Seminary鈥檚 campus. Theological diplomas will be presented at this service to all graduating students eligible to receive a call as a pastor or deaconess in The Lutheran Church鈥擬issouri Synod (LCMS). Dr. Daniel Preus [3], special assistant to the -president and former interim president of SA国际传媒, will deliver the sermon.

Commencement will take place at 7 p.m. (CDT) outdoors in the Seminary鈥檚 Main Quadrangle. Academic degrees and honors will be presented during this ceremony. Dr. John Wohlrabe, Jr., second vice president of the LCMS, will deliver the Commencement address. Five special honors also will be given:

  • Christus Vivit Award: Chris Shearman of St. Louis.
  • Distinguished Alumnus: Dr. Robert L. Rahn of Macomb, Mich.
  • Honorary Doctor of Divinity: Dr. John Wohlrabe Jr.
  • Honorary Doctor of Letters: Ted Kober of Billings, Mont.
  • Honorary Doctor of Laws: Dr. Dale A. Meyer of Collinsville, Ill.

This year鈥檚 graduates will be joining more than 7,000 called leaders of the LCMS around the world and more than 13,000 individuals who have received degrees from SA国际传媒 in the school鈥檚 182-year history.

Due to capacity restrictions, in-person seating is limited to participating students and their invited guests, as well as participating staff and faculty.
