The annual one-day workshop helps pastors develop their worship resources for Lent. This year, Emeritus Professor Dr. Jeffrey Gibbs [2] will lead participants through an exploration of the uniqueness of Luke鈥檚 account of Jesus鈥� suffering, death and resurrection.
鈥淏efore moving toward homiletical applications, we will carefully read Luke 22:1鈥�24:12 and open ourselves to insights and encouragement from God鈥檚 Word,鈥� Gibbs said. 鈥淎fter that time of refreshment, we will consider the preaching task, with a focus on the Lenten series that has been prepared.鈥�
The Pre-Lenten Workshop will be held in the Presidents Room on campus, 801 Seminary Place, St. Louis, MO 63105. Registration is $50 and includes lunch. The deadline for registration [1] is Jan. 7.
