鈥淭hese concerts are a lovely contribution to our concert series and to the St. Louis community,鈥� said聽Dr. James Marriott [2], the Seminary鈥檚 Kreft Chair for Music Arts and director of Music Arts. 鈥淓ach Tuesday evening in June, it鈥檚 a delight to hear music ring through our neighborhood. This year we are privileged to host some of the premier carillonneurs from across the world, a true testament to the reach and significance of this series.鈥�
There are only about 180 carillons in North America. The 49 bells have been played atop Luther Tower since 1971 and are dedicated to all pastors who have served聽 [3].
The scheduled performances are:

- June 14聽 [5]鈥斅�Karel Keldermans, Springfield, Ill.
- June 21 [6]听鈥� Bernard Winsemius, Amsterdam, Netherlands
- June 28 [7]听鈥� Roy Kroezen, Centralia, Ill.
Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics and to enjoy the unique concerts in a beautiful setting 鈥� from the Main Quadrangle or on the Seminary grounds near Luther Statue, or from Concordia Park. In the event of rain, guests may gather under the archways and tower on campus.
