With an ever-increasing number of churches embracing hybrid services, video conferencing and other digital means, it鈥檚 important for pastors and ministry leaders to think through the benefits and limitations of online ministry. That topic will be explored in a new six-week online continuing education course, 鈥 [1],鈥 offered in partnership by SA国际传媒, St. Louis with [2].
Sessions begin Jan. 17 and will be taught by Jamie Crustals, curriculum design and development specialist at SA国际传媒; Thomas Davila, adjunct professor for CUWAA and instructional designer with Sargento; and Rev. Trevor Sutton, senior pastor at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Haslett, Mich., and Ph.D. candidate at SA国际传媒.
鈥淲e are excited to offer our fourth course in partnership with Concordia University Wisconsin,鈥 said Erika Bennett, director of Continuing Education at SA国际传媒. 鈥淭his course was created based on feedback from our past students and is very timely in this post-pandemic environment.鈥
Six live sessions will be taught Tuesdays through Feb. 21 via Zoom:
- Digital world versus the analog world
- Evangelism and engagement
- Teaching and Bible study
- Pastoral care and relationships
- Worship and proclamation
- Community and congregation
