Twelve awards were presented to SA国际传媒, St. Louis from the [1] (ACP) and the [2] (EPA) during the organizations鈥 recent award ceremonies for exceptional communications work completed in 2022.
鈥淲e are mightily blessed here at SA国际传媒 with extraordinary stories to share as we communicate our mission of preparing future church workers who will serve the Gospel,鈥 said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. 鈥淚t is a great honor to be recognized for this work, especially among such venerated company, and we are grateful beyond measure.鈥
The ACP, the nation鈥檚 oldest interdenominational religious press association, presented its awards April 20, 2023.
In the ACP鈥檚 鈥淥verall Excellence/Best in Class鈥 contest, the Seminary received a second-place Award of Merit in the category 鈥淏est in Class Seminary Publication or Journal鈥 for SA国际传媒 magazine [3]. Named in the award are Vicki Biggs, executive editor; Melanie Ave, managing editor; Beth Hasek, art director; and Courtney Koll, designer.
Additional ACP awards include:
- For 鈥痴颈诲别辞鈥抬诲耻肠补迟颈辞苍补濒/滨苍蹿辞谤尘补迟颈惫别/础诲惫辞肠补肠测 (less than 10 minutes),鈥 the Seminary received a first-place Award of Excellence for [4] by Lifetime Media.
- For 鈥叠辞辞办蝉鈥擭辞苍蹿颈肠迟颈辞苍,鈥 the Seminary received a second-place Award of Merit for [5] (SA国际传媒 Press) by Dr. David Peter [6].
- For 鈥Video Series,鈥 the Seminary received a second-place Award of Merit for the recruitment-focused [7] video podcast. Named in the award are Rev. Micah Glenn [8] and Dr. Benjamin Haupt [9], hosts, and Dale Ward, producer.
- For 鈥Single Photo with Article or Cutline,鈥 the Seminary received a second-place Award of Merit for a photo of the 鈥淗oops for Hope鈥 alumni basketball game by Michael Thomas in [10] in the spring issue of [10].
- For 鈥Integrated Communications,鈥 the Seminary received two awards:
- A second-place Award of Merit for the 2022-23 [11]: Sharing the Gospel鈥擲haring Our Lives. Named in the award are Beth Hasek, Julia Staggenborg, creative; Vicki Biggs, Melanie Ave, Rebekah Lukas, communications; Chris Miller, web; and Dale Ward, video.
- An honorable mention for Theological Symposium 2023: [12]. Named in the award are Beth Hasek, Courtney Koll, creative; Vicki Biggs, Melanie Ave, Sarah Maney, communications; Chris Miller, web; and Dale Ward, video.
In addition to the ACP awards, the Seminary was recognized by the EPA, a professional organization of Christian publications including magazines, newspapers, newsletters and content-rich websites.
In the EPA鈥檚 鈥淎wards of Excellence鈥 contest, the Seminary received a second place Award of Merit in the 鈥淗igher Ed (Digital)鈥 category for SA国际传媒 magazine [3].
In the EPA鈥檚 鈥淗igher Goals鈥 contest:
- For 鈥Student Writer of the Year,鈥 the Seminary received first place for 鈥淔ield education: Offering hands-on ministry experience鈥 [13] by Jacob Moore, a concluding fourth-year Master of Divinity student, in the fall/winter 2022 issue of [14].
- For 鈥General Article/Medium,鈥 the Seminary received fourth place for 鈥淭he camp connection鈥 [15] by Rebekah Lukas in the spring 2022 issue of [10].
- For 鈥General Article/Short,鈥 the Seminary received fifth place for 鈥淪tarting with a seed: Lehenbauer Legacy鈥 [16] by Michael Stainbrook in the spring 2022 issue of [10].
- For 鈥Infographic,鈥 the Seminary received fifth place for [10] by Courtney Koll in the spring 2022 issue of [10].
