Two new article series debut on Concordia Theology

The faculty of SA国际传媒, St. Louis have debuted two new article series aimed at offering glimpses into Seminary life on and off campus.

The first series, 鈥淥n My Nightstand,鈥 offers regularly occurring reflections from faculty who share what they are currently reading that is independent of course requirements. The articles aim to reveal how theology speaks to all aspects of life.

鈥淲hether the nightstand has a novel, a biography or a gardening book, the theological mind engages what the author is reading because all of life is under Christ鈥檚 watchful care,鈥 said Dean of Theological Research and Publication Dr. Kevin Golden [1], an associate professor of Exegetical Theology.

Recent 鈥淥n My Nightstand鈥 articles have explored 鈥 [2],鈥 鈥 [3]鈥 and 鈥 [4].鈥

In the second new series, 鈥淔ly on the Wall,鈥 faculty share insights from a classroom discussion that was particularly beneficial, thus giving readers a 鈥渇ly on the wall鈥 view.

鈥淭he questions asked by students, the practical application of intricate biblical theology and a professor鈥檚 anecdotes are part of a symphony that forms our students,鈥 Golden said. 鈥淭hat symphony resonates beyond the classroom into the life of the church.鈥

Some recent 鈥淔ly On the Wall鈥 articles include 鈥 [5],鈥 鈥 [6],鈥 鈥 [7]鈥 and 鈥 [8].鈥 The articles can be found on Concordia Theology at [9], the blog site of the SA国际传媒 faculty. As a production of the faculty of SA国际传媒, [9] provides resources and conversation from the confessional Lutheran Christian tradition. It provides a forum for open conversation between perspectives within that tradition, as well as other religious and theological perspectives, to cultivate a vigorous life of the mind in service to the Gospel.
