Members of each incoming class in the Master of Divinity and Residential Alternate Route programs may be eligible for the following awards. \n\nThe Martin Scharlemann and Robert Kolb Grants\nTwo grants will be awarded that include full tuition for up to 45 hours per academic year. Recipients also will receive a cash stipend of $4\,500\, paid monthly throughout the academic year. Recipients of this aid will not be eligible for other Seminary-based financial aid; however\, external awards\, grants and aid\, including support from a home congregation or district\, are permitted and will be credited to the student’s account without reducing the grant. \n\nThe Timothy and Titus and Barnabas Grants\nTwo grants will be awarded that include full tuition for up to 45 hours in an academic year. Recipients of this aid will not be eligible for other Seminary-based financial aid; however\, external awards\, grants and aid\, including support from a home congregation or district\, are permitted and will be credited to the student’s account without reducing the grant. \n\nThe Urban and Rural Grants\nTwo grants will be awarded to candidates who competed for\, but were not awarded\, the previously described Regent grants. This includes students enrolling in the Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Deaconess Studies programs. \nAwards are granted for the student’s first year at SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ and are nonrenewable. The award is over and above any other financial aid the student will receive; receipt of this award will not affect\, or be affected by\, the amount of financial aid the student receives from other organizations or programs. \n\nApplicant must be a current CUS or VU student who has applied to a program in Ministerial Formation.\nApplicant must be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in the winter or spring of the current academic year.\nThe applicant will have studied at a CUS or VU school for a minimum of four semesters before graduating.\nApplicant must receive his or her bachelor’s degree from a CUS or VU school\, but not necessarily in the pre-seminary program.\n\nOnce the student applies to the Seminary\, he or she will automatically be considered for the awards; all information for award consideration will come from the student’s applicant file. There is no separate application to complete.
