The course will also engage his pastoral concerns through writings such as\, 鈥淭he Life of Anthony鈥 which will help\, along with his other writings\, in assessing Athanasius鈥 continuing relevance for the church today as a pastor and theologian. There will be lectures as well robust class discussion. In that work he has helped today鈥檚 church appropriate its ancient heritage that served as a foundation for Reformation theology.
