SA国际传媒 To Hold Special Reformation Service
SA国际传媒, St. Louis, is pleased to offer a special worship service in observance of the Reformation at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, in The Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the Seminary campus. The public is invited to attend.
Prof. Henry L. Rowold, mission professor of practical theology, will serve as preacher. The service will celebrate the influence of the Reformation in East Asia, especially through the translation of Luther鈥檚 works in China, Korea and Japan. Representative volumes will be on display. Hymns and choral offerings emphasizing the major themes of the Reformation will be included.
The choirs of the Seminary will present music from the Lutheran heritage and also from more recent times. Preservice music will include 鈥淗ow Richly God Will Bless,鈥 by Heinrich Schutz, 鈥淣ow Thank We All Our God鈥 by Johann Pachelbel and 鈥淪how Me Thy Ways鈥 by Walter Pelz. The prelude will begin at 2:40 p.m.
鈥淐elebrating the Reformation allows the church to rejoice in the gifts of God鈥檚 justification of his entire creation in Christ Jesus,鈥 commented Dr. Kent Burreson, assistant professor of systematic theology and acting dean of the chapel at SA国际传媒. 鈥淚t is our pleasure to invite the St. Louis community to this year鈥檚 service in which we will rejoice in the spread of the Reformation鈥檚 good news from Germany to East Asia and throughout the entire world.鈥
