SA国际传媒 To Host Day Of Exegetical Reflection

SA国际传媒, St. Louis, will host its Day of Exegetical Reflection on Monday, September 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Seminary鈥檚 Clara and Spencer Werner Auditorium. The event is designed for pastors, students involved in exegetical education and others interested in the proclamation of the Gospel in today鈥檚 world. The registration fee for the Day of Exegetical Reflection is $25.

Dr. Tremper Longman III, professor of Biblical Studies at Westmont College, Santa Barbara, Calif., will speak on 鈥淪how Them No Mercy!鈥 (Deuteronomy 7:16): A New Testament Perspective on Old Testament Holy War.鈥

Dr. Tremper Longman III is the Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies at Westmont College. He earned a B.A. in Religion at Ohio Wesleyan University, an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in ancient Near Eastern studies from Yale University. He has written over 20 books including commentaries on Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Daniel, and Nahum. In addition, he is one of the main translators of the popular New Living Translation and has served as a consultant on other popular translations of the Bible including the Message, the New Century Version, and the Holman Standard Bible. Tremper and Alice have three sons and two granddaughters.

The 20th Annual Theological Symposium, 鈥淪cience and Theology: New Questions, New Conversations鈥 will immediately follow the Day of Exegetical Reflection on September 22-23.
