SA国际传媒鈥檚 beloved continues its 22nd season with a holiday concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 14, in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the seminary campus. The performance will feature a seasonal selection of works by J. S. Bach, Hugo Distler, and Michael Praetorius. Pre-concert brass selections by the Clarion Brass will begin at 2:45 p.m.

Led by music director Dr. Maurice Boyer, the American Kantorei will perform two of J.S. Bach鈥檚 complete Advent cantatas: BWV 36, Schwingt freudig euch empor (Soar joyfully aloft) and BWV 62, Nun komm der Heiden Heiland (Now Come, Savior of the Nations). The program also features the alto aria from Cantata BWV 147, Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, a Distler choral verse based on Es is ein Ros entsprungen (Lo, how a Rose e’er blooming), and brass sounds of the season, including works by Michael Praetorius.

Two more concerts fill out the schedule for the 2014-2015 season. The March 15 concert will include Bach鈥檚 Cantatas 72 and 187, and the May 17 concert will feature Bach’s Mass in G Minor and Easter Oratorio. All concerts begin at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus at SA国际传媒 in Clayton.
