Laudamus adds St. Louis performance March 8
The Laudamus men鈥檚 choir of SA国际传媒, St. Louis will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the Seminary campus, 801 Seminary Place, St. Louis, Mo. The choir will sing an eclectic program representing the church鈥檚 song from many different genres.聽Composers include Bruckner, Christiansen, Faur茅, Hogan and more.
Joining Laudamus will be the choir from Walther Christian Academy in Melrose Park, Ill., which is under the direction of Lori Boyer.
Laudamus is a select choir of 14 seminarians preparing for full-time service as pastors in The Lutheran Church鈥擬issouri Synod. Under the direction of Jim Marriott, the Seminary鈥檚 director of musical arts, the choir delights in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music.
Laudamus recently returned from the first half of its spring tour, which consisted of seven stops in Georgia, Florida and Alabama. It also has upcoming performances at 7 p.m. April 8 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington, Mo., and at 6:30 p.m. April 16 at St. Paul鈥檚 Lutheran Church, Strasburg, Ill.
鈥淲hat a joy it was to proclaim the Gospel through the gift of music throughout the southeastern United States,鈥 Marriott said. 鈥淲e are excited to now have the opportunity to share our concert with the Seminary and St. Louis community as well. It is an extra treat to perform with Walther Academy and with Ms. Lori Boyer.聽We hope many will come to enjoy this performance!鈥
