Seminary hosts St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation head-shaving fundraiser

Seminary community sheds hair for cancer research

Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president of聽SA国际传媒, St. Louis, as well as students, faculty and staff will voluntarily shave their heads during the聽聽head-shaving fundraiser. Some participants have grown their hair and beards for weeks in anticipation of this event.

What:聽For the seventh time, SA国际传媒 will 鈥渂rave a shave鈥 and participate in the St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation head-shaving fundraiser. This year鈥檚 goal is to raise $11,000 to help fund research to find a cure for childhood cancers.

When:聽4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1

More information:聽Since partnering with St. Baldrick鈥檚 in 2012, SA国际传媒 has raised more than $58,000 for the foundation thanks to the volunteers who forego their hair in support of this worthwhile cause.

St. Baldrick鈥檚 head-shaving events give 鈥渟havees鈥 a way to show their support by voluntarily shaving their heads in an effort to inspire friends and family to donate funds for childhood cancer research. Stylists from Great Clips in the Hampton Village Shopping Center will shave heads on-site for their seventh year as well.
