Miscarriage memorial service held
Led by the SA国际传媒 Life Team, the Seminary community joined together for a Rite of Remembrance in chapel Feb. 2 to bring comfort to all who mourn the tragedy of miscarriage and stillbirth.
鈥淲hat happens to one happens to us all,鈥� said Professor Erik Herrmann, who preached on Psalm 30. 鈥淭oo long, too often we have let mothers and fathers grieve alone.鈥�
After the homily, congregants placed flowers near the altar in memory of the death of a child, symbolizing our faith that trusts our whole lives into the care of God who has loved us in Jesus Christ. The Life Team, with help from Seminary Communications/Creative Services, also created videos as a resource to help others reach out to couples who have suffered a miscarriage. The videos can be found on the team鈥檚 YouTube channel .
