Twenty-two faculty, staff, students and friends of SA国际传媒, St. Louis volunteered to have their heads shaved Feb. 6 during the event held in the Pederson Field House on campus.

Participating 鈥渟havees鈥� raised $7,607 to support the foundation鈥檚 mission to find a cure for childhood cancers.

St. Baldrick鈥檚 head-shaving events give participants the opportunity to stand in solidarity with children who are fighting cancer. One stylist from Great Clips in Affton, Mo., shaved heads on-site for the ninth year in a row, and a fourth-year student assisted.

鈥淔rom servant events in the Greater Saint Louis area during Orientation week to our annual St. Baldrick鈥檚 head-shaving event, our Seminary community strives to care for the needs of our neighbors,鈥� said Director of Ministerial Recruitment and Admissions Rev. Bill Wrede, the event鈥檚 site coordinator. 鈥淥ur students, faculty and staff are thrilled to participate in the mission of the St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation. We are thankful for everyone who participated and everyone who contributed to this worthy cause.鈥�
