Lay Bible Institute set for Feb. 6

One-day seminar explores Galatians

Paul鈥檚 message to the Galatians is the focus of SA国际传媒鈥檚 Feb. 6 Lay Bible Institute, 鈥淕alatians: Hearing Paul’s Gospel Afresh,鈥 led by Dr. Mark Seifrid, professor of Exegetical Theology.

Seifrid will help participants explore the relationship between 鈥渏ustification by faith鈥 and Christian ethics 鈥 revealing how Paul鈥檚 message to the first century Galatians applies to Christians today.

鈥淧aul’s message to the Galatians is that their lives 鈥 Gentile lives 鈥 matter.聽As Christians, we should find our identity in Jesus Christ and His saving work for us,鈥 Seifrid said. 鈥淭he answer to the question, 鈥榃ho am I?鈥 is found in Jesus. In finding ourselves in Jesus, we find one another, too.聽True Christian fellowship does not lie in what we do, but in Jesus Christ, Who has taken down all barriers and made us one.鈥

Open to lay people, students, pastors and others interested in the proclamation of the Gospel, the one-day workshop will be held online 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (CDT) Saturday, Feb. 6. The registration deadline is Jan. 24, 2021. Cost is $20 per person.

The Lay Bible Institute, offered three times a year by SA国际传媒 faculty members, is an ongoing study of the Bible and how it relates to today鈥檚 life and events.
