Students, staff, faculty and friends are invited to join in the St. Baldrick鈥檚 for St. Patrick鈥檚 Day Celebration from 4-6:30 p.m. March 17 in the Pederson Field House on the campus of SA国际传媒, St. Louis.
This is the Seminary鈥檚 11th annual head-shaving fundraiser to support childhood cancer research.
鈥淪t. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation head-shaving events give 鈥榮havees鈥� a way to stand with children who are fighting cancer and to raise support for the foundation鈥檚 mission to find a cure for childhood cancers,鈥� said Dr. Beth Hoeltke, director of the Seminary鈥檚 Graduate School and site coordinator for the head-shaving event. 鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to be a part of this important mission.鈥�
Funds from the Seminary鈥檚 event support the .
This year鈥檚 goal is to raise $10,000. Those wanting to contribute to the cause can visit the Seminary鈥檚 St. Baldrick鈥檚 Foundation .
The Seminary hopes to have at least 40-45 head-shaving participants who will each raise a minimum of $25. Participants who chose to not shave their head can still raise money to support the cause. In addition, green beer and baked goods will be available for a small donation.
Since partnering with St. Baldrick鈥檚 in 2012, SA国际传媒 has raised $90,613 for the foundation.
