New CSL, CUW partner course aims to help families, couples thrive

Six-week online course begins Aug. 24

Developing couple and family strengths is important throughout the entire cycle of a family鈥檚 life. This topic and more will be explored in a new online continuing education course, 鈥淗elping Couples and Families Thrive Throughout the Lifespan,鈥 offered in partnership by SA国际传媒, St. Louis (CSL) and (CUW).

The six-week online course will be taught via Zoom from 4-5 p.m. (CT) Thursdays, Aug. 24, through Sept. 28.

The course will concentrate on the ongoing development of family life and also will address challenges such as trauma, addiction, marital affairs and more. Special attention will be given to the counseling process. The course will be framed in an understanding of the reality of the presence of Jesus, which accompanies His followers, and the action of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

The course will be led by Dr. Bruce Hartung, professor emeritus at CSL and a retired clinical psychologist, and , a licensed professional counselor and director of children鈥檚 therapy at Kettle Moraine Counseling in West Bend, Wis.

鈥淚 am thrilled that we can continue to offer these partnership courses with Concordia University Wisconsin,鈥 said Erika Bennett, director of Continuing Education at SA国际传媒. 鈥淢arriage and family counseling was another topic that people were requesting and Bruce Hartung and Deb Graf will offer strong and unique content.鈥
