Annual outdoor summer carillon concert series announced for Tuesdays in June
Enjoy unique music in beautiful setting
Music lovers of all ages should mark their calendars for the Summer Carillon Concerts slated for Tuesdays in June on campus. The outdoor performances are part of the 2023-24 SA国际传媒 Concert Series.
The annual Summer Carillon Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. CDT June 4, June 11, June 18 and June 25. Carillonneurs of both national and international acclaim will perform. All recitals are free and open to the public.
The carillon at SA国际传媒 is one of only 170 such instruments in North America. The 49 bells have been played atop Luther Tower since 1971 and are dedicated to all pastors who have served It is housed in Luther Tower, the 156-foot structure designed by architect Charles Klauder and dedicated in 1966.

Tuesday, June 4: Wim Ruitenbeek of Nijkerk, Netherlands
Tuesday, June 11: John Widmann of Frederick, Md.
Tuesday, June 18: Jim Fackenthal of Chicago, Ill.
Tuesday, June 25: Wade FitzGerald of Bryn Mawr, Penn.
Guests are invited to enjoy the music from the Main Quadrangle or on the Seminary grounds near Luther Statue. In the event of rain, guests may gather under the archways and tower on campus. The concert will continue unless the carillonneur feels it is unsafe.
